For over two decades, I have had the great privilege of working, sharing, and debating with people seeking to answer one simple question…
“How do we get wealthy Americans to be better at their philanthropy.”
In my opinion, being better at philanthropy means:
Returning more resources than we do today
Taking guidance, in many forms, from the communities we support
Stepping back from being at the center of the resources we return
Those are three simple ideas, or are they?
I welcome you to Who Gives?, a platform for sharing, discussing, and debating the most effective ways to return resources back to the communities we support.
Each month I will post about a critical topic related to how wealthy people are, or are not, returning resources to communities they support
Each post will include articles, podcasts, and more that advance the themes of Who Gives?
And, finally, you will be the first to know about upcoming episodes of our new limited series podcast, Break Fake Rules!
Please comment and share my substack when you have a moment. You can also find me on LinkedIn - if we aren’t already connected, I look forward to doing so soon.
Afterall, Who Gives anyway?
Glen -- great to see you spotlighting the "fake rules" of philanthropy that have created a system that's no longer serving us. Here's to create a new narrative that leads us to more economic, racial and gender equity.
